PRODUCTION MANAGER

We are urgently looking for a Production Manager to work with us on our Autumn 2024 tour of Please right back.   

We’re looking for someone with:

  • ExpAbility to prepare appropriate technical plans for making the show work in tour venues.

  • Experience of projection set up and AV mapping* 

  • Experience of setting up sound for live performance.

  • A general knowledge of lighting** and stage management.

*  1927 uses Disguise - so any experience of this or other video operating experience is desirable. Experience of mapping or the ability to learn quickly is important.

** We have minimal stage lights, but you should be able to direct a team to rig some simple lights if needed.

The Production Manager will be responsible for:

  • Technical & production management of Please right back.

  • Liaison with UK presentation partners to ensure that the required technical staffing, sound, AV, technical equipment, and all other peripherals necessary for the production be provided for all performances. 

  • Preparing technical plans for making the show work in the spaces being toured to.

  • Running all get ins & fit ups and running and/or co-ordinating get outs. 

  • Rigging, focusing, and plotting projectors, AV, animation, sound, and lighting (minimal).

  • Complying with standard Health & Safety legislation and recommended working practices.

            

About Please right back

Please right back is the new theatre show from 1927.  As with all 1927 shows it seamlessly synchronises live performance and storytelling with films and animation, with performers interacting with projected animation for 2 hours.  The show tours with 4 performers, 1 AV operator and 1 Sound Mixer.  The AV operator and Sound Mixer run all AV, Sound & LX for performances.

  • 8-9 Oct: Exeter

  • 14-15 Oct: Leeds

  • w/c 28 Oct: Derby & Coventry

  • ⁠5-6 Dec: Brighton 

  • 19-21 Dec: London

 * Additionally prep and liaison work around the above get in and production dates will be needed.  Where feasible we are keen to work with a Production Manager who has availability for get outs and moves between venues (key dates being 28-29 September, 12-13 & 19-20 October 2024 and 5 January 2025), but this is negotiable.

Terms

  • Fee of £7,000 (based on full prep, get in and get out availability).

  • Per diems, accommodation & travel for all touring dates provided for all touring dates.
