1927 Workshop casting call

1927 is seeking two devisers/actors who identify as female and one who identifies as male to workshop our new show for two weeks in November 2021. 

About 1927:

1927 is a Margate based performance company that specialises in combining performance and live music with animation and film to create magical filmic theatre. The company has created 4 original theatre productions - Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea; The Animals and Children took to the StreetsGolem and Roots, alongside 2 large scale operas - The Magic Flute and Petrushka & L’Enfant et les Sortilèges.  1927’s work has been seen by over 1 million people across the UK and toured throughout the world to over 48  countries across 6 continents.  

About the Process:

1927 are workshopping our new show with a group of excellent actors here in the UK. We seek three more to join us for two weeks!* 

Workshop Details*

Dates: Monday 1- Friday 12 November 2021

Times: 10am-5pm

Location: Workshops will take place in Enfield, London

* Please note:

  • There may be further workshops in 2022 of up to 8 weeks

  • The show will open in 2022 in Vienna with a Viennese ensemble of actors.

  • In 2023 we shall cast the UK version of the show

Workshop Casting Breakdown 

If you have:

Great comic timing, if you are characterful, if you have experience of multi rolling, physical comedy, experience of playing much younger characters, then get in touch!

Ideally you would know 1927’s work and love it!

Performers identifying as female should have a playing age of 20-30

Performers identifying as male should have a playing age of 30-40

Fee & Terms:

£625 per week
